Los accidentes entre coches y camiones pueden ser desastrosos debido al tama\u00f1o de los veh\u00edculos m\u00e1s grandes. Los conductores de turismos deben ser conscientes de los peligros adicionales y conducir a la defensiva cuando se encuentren cerca de camiones para reducir el n\u00famero de accidentes graves.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos automovilistas piensan que los conductores de camiones son los causantes de la mayor\u00eda de los accidentes, pero no es necesariamente as\u00ed. El Instituto Nacional de Seguridad del Tr\u00e1fico informa de que en m\u00e1s de la mitad de las colisiones mortales el <a href=\"https:\/\/ntsi.com\/quick-links\/safety-articles\/truck-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">el conductor del autom\u00f3vil era culpable<\/a>y que la mayor\u00eda de los accidentes se producen durante el d\u00eda y con buen tiempo. Entre ellos figuran:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dejar espacio adicional al detenerse o conducir detr\u00e1s de un cami\u00f3n grande<\/li>\n<li>Mantenerse fuera de los grandes \u00e1ngulos muertos de los camiones<\/li>\n<li>Prever m\u00e1s tiempo al adelantar a un cami\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Evitar situarse entre dos grandes camiones en autopistas de varios carriles<\/li>\n<li>Reducir la velocidad al ser adelantado por un cami\u00f3n grande para evitar una visibilidad reducida.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aunque los conductores de veh\u00edculos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os pueden hacer mucho para evitar colisiones, los camioneros tambi\u00e9n deben ser precavidos en la carretera para mantener la seguridad.
