What are the steps to take after a car accident?

After the impact, move everyone to safety when possible, especially if there are no serious injuries. If possible, drive the cars to the shoulder. Take any precautions to avoid further accidents, such as setting up flares or other signals to oncoming traffic. Even if it was a minor accident, you should call law enforcement.
